Introduction

This is my first real website. I have had websites in the past by they were sites that I created myself and they did not look very professional. This year I have decided to have a professionally done website for a number of reasons.

My professional training is as a journalist. I have a B.A. in political science from Wittenberg University and a M.A. in journalism from The Ohio State University. For a number of years I worked as reporter for small town newspapers across Ohio. In 1999 I left the profession to work as a customer service agent for SubmitOrder.com. I had hopes, along with many other people from many other professions other than software engineering, to get on the ground floor of the Internet revolution. Frankly, I was hoping the company would one day and float an IPO and all the original employees of the company would become rich. And then September 11, 2001 happened and the company ran out of money and closed in July of 2002.

My next stop, in a regrouping move, was to become an employee of CallTech Communications, of Columbus, Ohio. In that capacity I answered calls from customer of Royal and Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners. I remained an employee of CallTech until January 2004. Now I work for the state of Ohio as a customer service representative for the Public Utilities Commission. I am a part-time employee of the PUCO so I also have a weekend customer service position with Airnet Systems of Columbus, Ohio. Hopefully, I can become a full-time employee of the PUCO so I can quit working weekends and concentrate on my varied activities.

Recently, I became an associate of World Financial Group. I now have a state license to sell insurance in the state of Ohio. I also have a NASD Series 6 license that allows me to sell mutual funds. I plan on helping people with their financial needs on a part-time basis. Also, I write freelance articles. Currently, my one and only client is the Ohio Chinese American News. I write English articles for the Chinese newspaper. Also, I started to write movie screenplays.

I just finished my first screenplay. I had written a screenplay once before but it was a dud. Yet, it was a good experience. I used all I learned writing that dud of a screenplay to write my first real screenplay.

So the plan is to use this website as a place where I can post my screenplays and freelance articles. I may even post political commentary essays to the website from time to time.
