Never write Important Stories and Screenplays on a YR 2000 PC
By Douglas Wu
The old PC which I obtained year 2000 needs a new hard drive and I'm not quite done revisiting my screenplay "Dribble."
Thankfully, it's not a hopeless situation.
Up until the beginning of this year, I wasn't sure how to improve my screenplay. Then it hit me as to the one thing the screenplay needs to make it perfect.
Recently, I was working on improving the screenplay when the PC's hard drive conked out.
In fact, I was nearly done improving the screenplay when the PC's hard drive decided to take a hike so to speak. Thankfully, I have a hard copy of the screenplay.
I'll retype the screenplay on the PC as soon as I obtain a replacement hard drive, reinstall the operating system and software applications.
I have the PC's operating system and software applications plus licenses on CD-ROM disks in my closet.
I'm in the process of tracking down the replacement hard drive in question, a used model Maxtor #90650U2, on eBay.
The plan is to get the PC back up and running and then retype the screenplay. Then, I'll print out a hard copy and and take it to a FedEx Office for conversion to a scanned PDF file.
Next, I'll have the website's administrator upload the PDF file of the screenplay to my website.
You're probably wondering why I'm going through all kinds of trouble rebuilding the PC's hard drive when I could purchase a new PC for 500 bucks.
Well, I have a another project in mind after my screenplay is good to go that requires old software suited to the PC. I'll be writing about the follow-up project I have in mind in the coming months.
